SEBRE has entered the film industry by becoming a co-owner of AVALA Studios company. 

The company owns film studios in Belgrade and the rights to nearly 800 films from the former Yugoslavia.

Our efforts in the industry SEBRE continues by investing in ARTINII, an alternative global film distributor, and by co-producing ‘Zátopek’, an upcoming Czech feature directed by David Ondříček.

AVALA STUDIOS

AVALA Film Studios was founded in 1946, which makesit the oldest and largest film studio in former Yugoslavia. The first feature film produced at the studio was ‘Slavica’in 1947.

We believe that investing in new studio equipment and infrastructure will create professional environment, fostering thus the development of the film industry in Serbia.

Artinii is a set of digital tools which create a new market and open new possibilities of distributing films and audio-visual content all over the world.

The platform offers distributing both old and new works, which thus become easily accessible for public screening.

ZÁTOPEK

‘Zátopek’ is a new biographical film by David Ondříček about a long-distance runner and probably the most important Czech Olympic champion of all times, Emil Zátopek. It maps the life of this world sports legend between the ages of 19 and 45.

The title role in the life story of the four-time Olympic championis played by Václav Neužil, who underwent intensive physical preparation for the role. The role of his wife, javelin thrower Dana Zátopková, was rendered by Martha Issová.
